Thank you to Dr. Jan Kristo and Dean Anne Pooler for inviting me to speak to the students in the College of Education and Human Development. The students received an award for earning a GPA of at least 3.5 for consecutive semesters. Bravo! I was completely impressed to hear the philosophies and beliefs of these future teachers. They inspired me!

I was excited to share my message of change with the audience. One of the best things I did as an educator was to change grade levels. Learning a new curriculum and watching students grow and develop at different ages gave me a new perspective on teaching. I believe that my willingness to accept new challenges helped me to develop into the teacher I am today. I encouraged the students to embrace and seek out change!
